This place is hitting so above its weight it’s crazy. The food is great and the guy making it is nice and awesome. Not to mention I think it’s in an old Wendy’s building with those nostalgic domed sun rooms. Marty’s is the shit.

Nice diner under the guise of fast-food. Don’t get me wrong, it’s quick. But this ma ‘n pa spot has better quality food than most anything you can get at this price point. The inside is super clean and the service is great. Definitely a hidden gem

Support local family businesses! Drive-thru, indoor dining. Immaculately clean. They have a vegan option but cooked on the same grill and plus no egg in the patty, just soy. You can request “keto” too but they put it on a bed of shredded lettuce. I did ask for no sauce but they put ketchup and mustard on it; I’ll live. Very nice family.

I got the chopped cheese and it was delicious. The hoagie roll was griddled on the inside but the outside remained soft, so the bite is really lovely. Marty’s uses fresh beef and you can tell- I really enjoyed this sandwich and felt it was a generous size for a decent price. It isn’t the most beautiful sandwich, but it’s so tasty that’s not what you’ll remember. The crinkle cut fries are also quite satisfying and salted well. I’ll definitely be returning for these two items but also to try more of the menu items. Note that they have some burgers and combos beginning at $5 and that sort of wallet friendly pricing is alluring. I imagine Kaiser employees are fans. Inside is scrupulously clean! I’ve become a real fan of this little gem in downtown Richmond. 6/15/25 Another immaculate chopped cheese delivered. The sandwich is prepped so that it doesn’t at all fall apart and they have a lock on bun prep! It tastes like it was just made. The sandwich is the perfect size, (cut on the diagonal) for a late afternoon snack for two with medium fries.

Fast food is not my idea of food. I find nothing appealing in it. I like making own food, but sometimes I go for it occasionally. And that’s when I don’t feel like cooking or when we go out for the day. The menu of that restaurant is basically about all things I’ve tried before at different places ( Spicy crispy chicken, Chicken Philly sandwich, Onion rings, Cheese sticks ..etc). So there was an expectation of what I’m getting. The food was served hot and fresh and the taste was totally different from the same type of food I’ve tried before at different restaurants. The place inside & out is spacious, clean and bright. Price is very inexpensive and everyone was super friendly with a good attitude. I attached some pictures of what I got.

A-mazing cheeseburger!!! These guys have a Time Machine. That was a burger from the 1980s! When food was real, and cooked with love. Lol, over the top there but reeeally. It’s like a homemade Big Mac I’m not into fast food and usually make burgers at home or go to a cool bistro for em. But I was at Kaiser, craved a simple burger, they’re across the street, and bang! I stopped in my tracks eating and walking back to my car. Wow SOOOO good!!

This is the spot to head to if you want a good Philly! Now I haven’t tried the other main items on the menu, but this Philly is exactly what I wanted. Properly seasoned meat, sweet and savory caramelized onions, mushrooms, bell pepper, touch of jalapeño, provolone. The sandwich is just perfectly balanced and exactly what this neighborhood was missing! I got the extra meat for $3 more which nicely packed out the sandwich in the manner I would expect of a Philly. Side of crispy, wavy fries, perfectly seasoned fries and an unsweetened iced tea. I’m happier than a guy missing Philly who woke up to find himself in Philly. I had shied away from the address ever since they closed down the Hacienda Grill. This I now sorely regret. Between the excellent food and the friendly staff, if this isn’t on your radar yet, get it on there! This is not to be missed. Just don’t forget to ask for the extra meat — update Revisited today for another proper Philly and to check out their onion ring action. Yes! Real onion (not like that BK onion paste sadness)

This has become one of my favorite "go-to" spots in Richmond! The staff are ALWAYS welcoming. The restaurant is always clean. The food is CONSISTENTLY FRESH, delicious...AND affordable! My fav on the menu is the Philly CheeseSteak!!! But don't sleep on the burgers or the chicken tenders!
